Preparation of contingency plans / categorisation of stables

According to Article 18 of Regulation (EC) 1099/2009 on the protection of animals at the time of killing, the competent authority shall draw up contingency plans in case of necessary depopulation.
These contingency plans shall in particular specify the stunning and killing procedures to be used and describe standard operating procedures for the procedures.
The procedures to be used must comply with the requirements of the said Regulation.
Accounting of animal disease control measures
Animal disease control measures carried out must be accounted for by the competent veterinary authority within set deadlines in order not to contravene formal regulations on co-financing by the European Union.
